Ali Farka Toure 1939-2006
The Independent reports that Ali Farka Toure, beloved ambassador of the Desert Blues of Mali died in his sleep yesterday, having suffered from cancer. He was 66.

As of 2011 this blog is about american old timey and roots musics as they pertain to having a fine night out in Ireland. Gigs, new releases, old ideas, songs and so on. Before that it was mostly about whatever I was interested in at the time.

Which is Pretty Damn Quick most evenings, and ASAP at weekends.
