As of 2011 this blog is about american old timey and roots musics as they pertain to having a fine night out in Ireland. Gigs, new releases, old ideas, songs and so on. Before that it was mostly about whatever I was interested in at the time.
What's all this?
I am endeavouring to further the spread of Enlightenment through Music, Images, Words, etc that are well, Enlightening. If you own any of this enlightenment, and want to keep it for yourself, or your own site, then Feel Free to Enlighten me about that and I will remove the offending Inspiration as Quickly as is Humanly Possible. Which is Pretty Damn Quick most evenings, and ASAP at weekends.

Well the Post of the Week goes to diddy wah with Mohair Slim presiding. Four tracks of the most excellent Prince Buster, none of which I have heard before, this is like Christmas in the Kingdom. When you wander through the wilderness hope for days like this. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. And tell them how much you appreciate it!

Thanks for your much-too-kind words. It was hard work to get it down to 4 tunes. There's still so much unissued Hot Ska from the Prince, maybe Diddy Wah's Adam will allow me a sequel down the track. PB's "Cast Your Faith to the Wind" if you've never heard it, will change your life, but, its not quirky or strange, so I didn't select it. There's more stupid musings on blues, soul and ska on my very agricultural website.
Not at all. You deserve it. It was a real pleasure seeing and hearing that post/those tracks, and I'll definitely be checking out your website. I suggest that the wise do likewise.
